Failed Java platform makes 1 billion computers vulnerable

A security hole in the Java program allows malicious people to install programs with viruses in almost all Mac and Windows computers, approximately 1 billion machines.

The versions of Java 5, Java 6 and Java 7 have failed, according to the company's discovery Polish antivirus Security Explorations in information disclosed by the website "Computerworld", this Wednesday (26/9).

The company Oracle, owner of Java, said the failure to eliminate a future update, but not reported to date.

According to the "Computerworld", the next quarterly update of Java is scheduled for Oct. 16. Users of Java for phones and tablets are not exposed.
